Below are a list of Frequently Asked
Questions regarding 1. How do you define a Mover and Shaker? A Mover and Shaker is an Individual who has a dramatic impact on an
organization or a series of events. For example, an individual may be known as
a mover and shaker in a particular business activity because of his ability to
get things done quickly and successfully. Mover and Shakers describe The
Local Applause Network and all of the people involved. Movers and Shakers GET THINGS DONE! They show
up, they come on time, they do what they say and they make decisions that will
benefit others as well as themselves. We
are continually amazed by the talent each person offers and the commitment they
make to themselves to stay focused and alive each day. MOVER AND SHAKERSHIP – This simply
describes a larger group of Movers and Shakers. We welcome all – in some way –
we are all movers and shakers. 2. How is
Local Applause different from the Chamber of Commerce or other networking
groups? 6. As a Mover & Shaker, would I be

to speak in the Circle of Celebration? The
Circle of Celebration is a hula hoop that simply represents the growth and
change a person undergoes as he/she learns to think for himself/herself and
shape his/her own destiny. In addition, the more we get to know you, the better
we can support you as an individual or as a business leader. When something
really big happens – we hope to hear from you!
Also we love to hear your testimonials about your success!

Mover & Shakership of Local Applause.
Frequently Asked Questions for those considering attending an event or becoming
a Mover & Shaker of The Local Applause Network.
Like all groups, Local Applause is unique to its Mover & Shakers. As a
unique organization, we focus on our own Mover & Shakers, working to help
them get to know each other through our three fundamental venues. We provide a
well planned networking opportunity nearly every week of the year, building
super-strong relationships, because we know that people are most likely to do
business with people they really know.
3. What if I attend other networking groups’ activities?
You can never know too many people. Our advice is to meet and greet whenever you
get the opportunity. Just “attending” a Mover & Shaker meeting is not the
same as building relationships. Really getting to know people – building a
relationship – takes time, consistency and attention. Be sure you’re spending
time with people who share your values, uplift you, and are good potential
business partners for you.
4. What if I have no obstacles or
challenges and my business is extremely successful? Why would I need Local
Applause?

Shaker’s! There are so many people who would love to tap into your power,
talents and intelligence. You could be a most valuable mentor to assist the
incredible talent of your community through Local Applause. Don’t participate
only for what you can take from the organization; come on in and be part of us

Absolutely! We welcome Mover & Shaker give-a-ways. In fact it is a great

become possible. The person who receives the gift though, will probably not be
the one who will give back. How exciting!
We encourage brochures and flyers and samples of our Mover & Shakers
products and services. Bring enough for everyone! Put them on the table in
front of you…show and tell everyone what you do. Get yourself a business name
tag from the engraving store. They cost about $6-8. It will pay for itself over
and over again. And don’t ever think you’re being “pushy”! Oh my, if you do
something or sell something you think people should know about, then chances
are they WANT to know about it. Each Mover & Shaker has hundreds and
thousands of people in their circle of influence – get to know each other and
“sell thru” not “to.” Don’t keep what you do to yourself… SHARE!
